Buhari and Atiku Coalition Talks Will Fail – APC Chairman Ganduje
Abuja, April 12, 2025 — The Buhari and Atiku coalition talks have been described as a failed political plan by APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. He said the recent meeting between former President Muhammadu Buhari, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and others was simply a desperate attempt to regain political power.
Speaking to reporters in Abuja, Ganduje dismissed the talks as empty and directionless. According to him, the Buhari and Atiku coalition talks are driven by personal ambition, not national interest.
“This is not about the people. It’s about old politicians trying to stay relevant,” Ganduje said. “Nigerians are smarter now and won’t be misled.”
The meeting reportedly took place in Katsina. It focused on building a united opposition ahead of the 2027 general elections. Topics discussed included insecurity, economic hardship, and political strategy.
However, Ganduje believes the APC remains strong, united, and ready for any opposition alliance.
“While they are holding meetings, we are delivering real progress,” he added.
He also warned Nigerians to be cautious of alliances that offer no real solutions.
So far, neither Buhari nor Atiku has commented publicly on the outcome of the meeting. But the Buhari and Atiku coalition talks have already sparked national debate.
